One of the top-notch brands we use for our sheet metal is Dynacorn. Dynacorn is known as an industry leader when it comes to sheet metal, and they've also taken it a step further with the Dynacorn Classic Bodies division where they have produced complete bodies for the Chevy Camaro, Chevelle, and the Chevy Pickup. Since 1984, Dynacorn International Inc. has been supplying the classic muscle car enthusiast with quality sheet metal, bright trim, and molding for restorations or for just plain making a ride look its best. The quality and fit of their restoration quality parts is unsurpassed. The tooling is new and crisp, the steel used is the very best available on the market, and the craftsmanship is beyond good...it’s superior. But Dynacorn doesn’t stop there. Because not using the correct materials can be a huge issue, Dynacorn uses only 1006 Universal grade Automotive steel in all of their stampings. Since new steel has fewer additives, the welds come out cleaner, tighter and with a lot fewer gasses being emitted than in the past. Our Nova sheet metal and body panels are made in the US and overseas. Anything that you see that is bare sheet metal is made here in the US, and anything that is black-coated is made overseas. While every effort is made to source parts that are made in the USA, some parts are simply not manufactured in the United States. In either case, we offer the best parts available.

We know you pour your heart and soul into your Nova, so we go to great lengths to ensure that all of our automobile parts are of the highest quality. All of our products have fitment info on the page, and our comprehensive search function allows you to search by keyword, part name, or number. During checkout you can tell us the model and year of your vehicle, and we will verify that the parts you ordered will fit. Don’t forget that we also provide service after the sale because we are real car people just like you.

The Chevy Nova grew to be America’s favorite compact classic car, but it was a journey to get there. Over the years, the Nova underwent some changes that aided in the car’s development - starting with its name. The car was originally supposed to be titled Chevy II and Nova was intended to be a backup name because it didn’t start with a “C”. The Chevy II was designed in 1961 and manufactured in 1962, making it one of fastest new car development programs by General Motors. The first generation of Chevy II’s ran from 1962-1965 and included a few noteworthy focal points. The car was equipped with either a 153 cubic-inch four-cylinder or 194 cubic-inch six-cylinder engine, and when the RPO-Z03 was released on the Chevy Nova II 400 in 1963, it was clear the Chevy II was evolving to include sportier options. In the final year of the first generation, extra muscle to the engine was added in the form of a 327 cubic-inch V8 engine which generated 300 horsepower (hp). The second generation of the Chevy II was short and sweet; a newer and faster model that was equipped with a 327 cubic-inch eight-cylinder engine. From 1966-1967, the second generation model produced 350 hp. During the third generation in 1969, Nova officially replaced Chevy II as the model’s name. The Nova SS was redesigned and was both aesthetically and mechanically inspired by the Chevy Camaro. This model offered the standard 350 cubic-inch V8 which generated 295 hp or the 396 cubic-inch V8 which generated a much higher hp of 350-375. From 1971-1974, performance was no longer a priority for the models, which resulted in smaller engines and less hp. The 1971 Nova had a 350 cubic-inch engine, whose hp was a maximum of 270. The 1972 Nova had a 350 cubic-inch V8 engine, and was able to get 200 hp. The 1973 and 1974 Novas were similar but had cosmetic enhancements which included bigger bumpers and rear side mirrors.
