Description
The upper door hinge is made to keep the door on your Nova and keep it hanging straight. A properly fitted door ensures that there are no places that water or dirt can enter into the interior. A door that doesn't hang straight doesn't seal, and that means that the interior can become damaged from the elements. Reproduction door hinges are made to the same factory specifications that General Motors used when they originally manufactured the Nova. If you don't replace worn out or damaged hinges when you do your restoration, you won't have a good door seal. In addition to letting in the elements, it will make for a very noisy ride because it won't stop wind noise either.
