From the Desk of Tray Smith - December

Well here we are in December. Man, has this year flown by! I feel like all year I have been strapped to the belly of an F-15 Eagle and have been flying at the speed of sound. No, I have no idea how that really feels. The fastest I've ever been in an airplane would be whatever a commercial flight goes. However, I do have a friend from my hometown of Gravette, AR that served in the both Gulf Wars, and he was an F-15 pilot. Strangely, so is his oldest son. He tells me it’s like trying to shove yourself through a funnel. So that’s just about how I have felt all year.

Now for the big news! As I'm writing this, we're currently finishing up the data migration on our new inventory and customer software. We're launching this at the first of December. So why am I telling you all of this? Because I'm asking for your patience. We've spent the last 18 months designing, testing, updating, redesigning, retesting, and hoping and praying that this goes off without too many problems. Now, I'm not a fool, I know there will be some. So with that, I ask for your patience as you, our valued customer, calls in or walks into the store. We'll be asking you a lot of questions trying to double check your information and make sure everything we moved over to the new system from the old is correct.

With all of the fun technical stuff out of the way, we at H&H would like to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for helping us make 2017, our 30th year in business, a successful one. We know you, our valued customers, have a choice when you buy parts for your project. So we'd like to say thank you and wish each and every one of you and your families a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you again, and we look forward to serving you in 2018.
